nah Liverpool late 70's and 80's

Europe and League dominance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Beating the 'mighty' Mochengladbach, Brugge and Roma in 3 of those finals. 3 teams who have never won the European Cup in their entire history. Just shows how bad European Club football was back then.

And another win against bleeding Spurs much much later on. Couldn't make it up how lucky you lot have been to win 6 CL titles.

We got to the final twice and played arguably the greatest team of all time and in the 90's n 00's came up against the great Madrid teams etc.

Timing and circumstances count for a lot.

How can you respect Chelsea’s achievements? Just bought success, hollow is all their achievements are.

In between, you got toppled and owned by a very small unfashionable East Midlands Club

Nice nibble there mate

We've also lost CL finals and semis to Milan and Madrid etc off the top of my head, so we'd have more Cl titles if the rationale you apply to United were applied to Liverpool.

The difference is that we've been better than United IMO. Simple as that, timing and circumstances is just wound licking.

You do realise that all those teams were the reigning champions of their own domestic league?

If European football was that bad, how come you lot never got close to a sniff?

posted on 4/3/22

They were so bad they were playing in the Sunday League instead of taking advantage of a weak Europe.

Liverpool and Utd have dominated more over the same period. More titles and in Liverpool's case, European Cups.
