So the first match under Jesse Marsch is over. 11 games left and no additional points on the board and the teams below us have an additional game in hand to drag us further into the relegation quagmire.
My emotions are on a finely balanced weighing scale right now. I'm disappointed we lost and didn't score (again), but encouraged by the indisputable fact that we were tighter in defence and we took the game to them. We weren't outclassed.
This conflict of emotions is typical of the rollercoaster that being a Leeds fan is, but all things considered, given that JM has had less than a week to work with the players, we have to view the result as an improvement. We were not battered, conceding a blue bucketful of goals in the process, and with better finishing, we'd be looking at a different result. It is what it is and we move on.
We have 2 home games now and I'm personally confident that we can get 6 points from them. As much as I love MB, I would have been worried about today and the games to come. We started to turn a corner today and the momentum will gather.
There is time and enough games to get out of this mess. Performances will improve even more and if Paddy was on the bench today, what's the betting he'll be involved in the next 2 games, just when we need him most.
Thanks to MB for everything and the platform for JM to build on.
We stay positive and we go again.

Marsch gave the team a good set up today to win. Just didn’t take our chances, tactics worked well to get us chances and restrict them.
Got to win next two at home really.

yup, were by far the better team, how ever goals win games.....obs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly…Goals win games! Also, Goalkeepers win games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yup meslier is world clas at 20
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hasn’t pushed on this season. Can’t really think of many, or if any games where I thought Meslier has saved us…Schmeichel stops that all day long. Newcastle, Man U and today, that 3 points…but he’s the best we’ve got and I do feel for him, should be an understudy to a more experienced keeper (not Kiko).

Elland White, I really appreciate your response, and sorry for being a bit harsh, but I had to mention it, and thanks for changing your heading. I know you have been through a lot of health issues, and I admire your courage having read many of your posts. Anyway whatever age we are we learn every day. Thanks again and good health. Bad luck for Leeds today, but many +ves...Rgds, Leeds 4ever fan.

Sorry. I was being lazy with my response and it does sound like I’m lecturing you. I was supposed to be agreeing with you and backing up your point. Not having a go! Sorry.

Meslier hasn’t been as good as his reputation this season. Been over hyped.
Still doing well and wouldn’t want him replaced. But people need to calm down a bit.

Elland White, I wished you would not use the heading of your post so lightly, Schizophrenia is a condition that is very trying for some, I know, as one member of my family suffers from it, and sometimes it is not easy at times...Just saying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My sincere apologies. I meant no offence and accept it was was misguided. It was a poor use of terminology to describe the conflicting emotions connected with being a Leeds fan. I try to take care and be balanced when I post articles but I realise I got it badly wrong this time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to add, I've changed the title of my post accordingly.
I also apologise to Batty who quite rightly took exception.
No offence meant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can think of a few medical conditions that could be associated with supporting Leeds this season.
But at least you didn't call your post
"Erectile Dysfunction " 😂

Still can't get it right. It's Mattyp, not Batty, who I should have apologised to. Better book an appointment at Specsavers and keep away from the keyboard for the rest of the day
