Rashford considering his future

Marcus Rashford is considering his future. He's concerned about his lack of game time, source close to Man Utd forward tell me - he's always been professional but he wants clarity. Fabrizio Romano

*Plays absolutely diabolical for months*

“Oh how dare you drop me!"

200k a week to run straight into defenders, I love Marcus Rashford as a person out of football, but on the field he is seriously taking the mick.

This is the United attitude now huh? Been on the bench for a couple of games because of his performance level and already looking at his options this is what Keane was on about, players on the bench are just sulking not thinking how can I come on and effect the game! Shocking

Is he a bit like Michael Owen in that he's been asked to carry a pretty poor team at such a young age.

Missing the World Cup this winter may actually do him the world of good. He'd have a good break as well. He could well find himself leading the line again next season too. I'm not writing him off yet.

Rashford has never carried us. I dont think hes even come close to owen in terms of performances in a sub par team.

I like rashford, as a player and he is clearly a good person but there is revisionist history going on here, he's had one very good season which we all thought would be the springboard for him to go on too higher things but its been downhill since then.

I think he has. He's been asked to play an awful lot of football and produce at a young age and it's catching up with him. His introduction wasn't managed that well really compared to how other players have been eased into the side in the past.

Hes a football player, that is his job, and as for produce, produce what?

Hes had way more "ok" seasons than he has good ones.

If we would have been a top team when he broke through he'd have played less I imagine but develop as a player better. I think he's been overused and this is now the result.

Players get better through experience.

The overused thing only holds any water if like owen their entire body goes to chit, which is not the case here.

Cant see Rashford going anywhere though. Utd starting to look a bit thin on the ground for players trained at the club once Lingard leaves.

It has been a while since I've looked but there was a guy years ago compiled the data on all English senior players and where they were developed and MU academy produced the most irrespective of their current club not being united.

Since then football observatory probably does the most analysis with the data cut various ways.

Which is fine, but irrelevant to what I wrote.
