More detail on the extraordinary story emerging on the suspected poisoning of Roman Abramovich and Ukrainian peace negotiators.
According to sources cited in the WSJ report - which has since been backed up by a series of tweets posted by investigative journalism group Bellingcat - the Chelsea owner and negotiators developed symptoms including red eyes, constant and painful tearing, and peeling skin on their faces and hands.
It says it was unclear who had targeted the group, but that those affected blamed "Moscow hardliners" who wanted to sabotage the talks.
The report, and the information gathered by Bellingcat, indicates the conditions of the victims of the suspected poisoning later improved and that their lives are not considered to be in danger.
People familiar with the incident reportedly said Western experts who looked into it suggested it was hard to determine whether the symptoms were caused by a chemical or biological agent or by some sort of electromagnetic-radiation attack.

If this is true then WTF? although this apparently happened nearly a month ago so does seem rather strange it’s coming out now.
