His point is very valid. He as a professional footballer is well placed to know that Maguire shouldn’t be captain over Ronaldo. He just said his thoughts out loud. And Maguire ain’t United level. He needs to go
Davies has completed football at the age of 21 whereas Maguire is nearing 30 and all he has to show is a championship playoff medal which is made out of zinc
Fans have been saying this for time it's just so refreshing hearing a pro footballer like Alphonso Davies saying it
Have a watch

So Ronaldo first average season in over a decade is down to the captain? That is a poor Ronaldo fan girls excuse

The captain thing in football particularly in Britain is overplayed. Even Keano will tell you that.
Leadership must come from the manager, the captain can lead in difficult moments on the pitch but the manager must lead the Team.
Who would have thought Hendo would still be captain. More than half the liverpool fan base wanted van Dijk to replace him.
But when a team plays football well the captain thing is insignificant. Its more symbolic than anything.
I also hate it when footballers call out each other. Whether Davies is right or wrong you cant call out another footballer like that. So unprofessional.

Ronaldo has never been club captain anywhere. There’s probably a reason for that.

Of course they're not necessary when the team's playing well. That's not generally when you miss having a good captain, is it?

Why is it unprofessional out of interest? I get that a level of professional courtesy is expected but as long as criticisms are fair I’m not sure why it’s considered unprofessional.
At times there feels like there’s a veil of secrecy that covers football and whenever a player actually offers a genuine opinion it’s branded unprofessional. Personally I think it’s quite refreshing to get a bit of honesty.
