Just realised it's over 4 years, they've convieniently started after the 2017/18 season.

Because if they'd done it over 5 years the gap would have been 26 points.

They're making this a lot about Pep v Klopp, why not cover the time both managers have been at the helm?

Maybe it might have something to do with the fact that Klopp didn't have a team he could realistically call his own until the start of the 18/19 season.

VVD joined in Jan 2018 while Alisson joined in August. Those 2 players were instrumental in creating a team able to compete with moneybags City.

They've included this season which isn't even over but excluded 17/18 because it was City's best ever PL season despite the same managers being in place and Liverpool finishing in the top 4.

It's you that's looking stupid if you don't think the stats have been arranged in Liverpool's favour.

Only a pro Liverpool article would use figures from 3.8 seasons, it's like the 'Last 5 minutes possession' numbers they show on Sky.

Why not just provide stats for the last 10 games and write an article about Pep being a total failure?

Klopp took a season longer to get our squad up to this standard.

Understandable given the squads inherited and budgets involved.

Either they close the gap or Klopp and or Pep leaves

I genuinely think it will take them leaving before it changes ….they are so good

United with Conte would have closed that gap quicker ….they really needed him

It's not as bad as the Scottish league but it could be as bad as when rangers were relegated if Liverpool were not here fighting.

City could be winning titles by 20 points each year.

In any event. Chelsea shave bene hamstrung time and again by the evil oligarch randomly executing managers left and right and appointing random people then repeating as the football isn't pretty enough or the day his oligarchs are watching they don't win by 6.

Cheslea will improve just by keeping a manager longer than 18months.

Arsenal have a hugely rich owner who won't really do anything strategic or take real interest.

Spurs are spurs.

Utd are an abject failure that simply can't progress until Woodward is put out of his misery. Someone keeps going and buying player smanagers don't want luke zlatan, cavani etc. Someone has a hard on for target men.
