Ian Dunt nails it with this handful of tweets why he has to go, Sunak too.

Also the first time a sitting PM has ever been found guilty to have broken the law.

Lockdowns did not cause more damage than Covid

You've no evidence for that baseless claim.

Uh yes I do. I posted the link earlier.

Just because you disagree with it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Poverty > Covid

Getting trump supporting economists involved in papers about epidemiology, the science of pandemics and actuarial mortality and morbidity impacts isn’t quite the slam dunk you might think comrade.

Another one

Just because it doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t mean they’re “Trump supporting economists”.

Sorry you don’t agree with the facts.

The greater point you are missing is that states which had longer lockdowns and greater restrictions didn’t have any change in mortality rate, but also sacrificed the financial well being of people too. It caused more damage.

The crime isn’t BoJo going to a party. The greater crime is that the government lied to you. If Covid was THAT serious, even those in power would have avoided others. Instead they had a party.

People should have ignored the mandates and fought for their right to live their lives. Only you know what’s best for you, not what the government thinks.

Only you know what's best for you?
Why do you have medical insurance?
Surely you don't believe doctors know what's best for you.

😂

So a few things comrade myfinger;

1) they are “trump supporting” as they are part of the “Committee to Unleash Prosperity” a group which is unambiguously pro-Trump.
2) they are “economists” because that is their background.

Hence, trump supporting economists. That is a fact.

Now let’s go on to your claim of “ states which had longer lockdowns and greater restrictions didn’t have any change in mortality rate”. How is mortality rate being measured? Are you looking at excess mortality? Age and population adjusted? Reviewed by prominent statisticians?

I must assume that obviously this study took into account the particular status of covid in each state when restrictions were introduced or reduced? As the timing was the key differentiator in relative performance? No? Interesting, surprised that the economists from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity with ties to the Koch brothers.

It’s a laughable “study” not taken seriously in academic circles.

The offence IS Johnson going to a party during lockdown. That’s what the FPN is for. I think that Johnson lying at the dispatch box about this, and thus breaking the ministerial code, is also important.

Now let me ask you; when dear mother myfinger, or brother myfinger, has to go to hospital (god forbid I know but it can happen) do you say “they know what’s best for them more than the government” (in this case the branch of government concerned with health)? Or do they listen to the doctors and nurses? One to ponder comrade myfinger.

Hundreds of thousands of deaths would've directly led to even greater poverty. Your wee blog compels ignores that though, hence why it's irrelevant
