Russell 4th, Hamilton 14th

All the talk is about how bad Mercedes car is this year, yet Russell has been consistently in the top 5 so far, Hamilton has finished 10th and 14th in some races, and is basically saying that’s his true pace.

Great to see just how poorly Hamilton can and is performing when he is not in the best car, lorded it for years, now being shown up by his team mate, the first real competitive team mate he’s had since Rosberg, who also beat him

What makes it even better is that, because Mercs aren't in drivers title contention, there's no reason to designate Russell as a number 2 driver

Leclerc needs to iron those errors out. Max is the champion because he didn't make silly errors like that when leading a championship. Brilliant weekend for the bulls though 👍

Yeah I was thinking of 2005 when alonso won the title ahead of a faster but less reliable Mclaren with Kimi. In weekends where Mclaren were clearly faster he just settled for 2nd or 3rd.
