Potential summer business.

I had a look at the Rangers squad going into this summer and i suspect we have quite a big turn over coming.

Out of contracts / End of Loans
McGregor
Firth
Goldson
Balogun
Davis
Ramsey
Arfield
Traore

Who cares about Firth and Traore, won't be noticed but that's a midfield trio our main CB pairing and our first choice keeper.

I'm thinking Balogun and Arfield will get another year.

Players with 1 year left
McCrorie
Helander
Katic
Jack
Sands
Aribo
Kelly
Lowry
Kent
Middleton
Hastie
Morelos

Again we aren't likely to notice McCrorie, Katic, Sands, Kelly, Middleton or Hastie.

Helander needs to prove he can stay fit but Aribo, Kent and Morelos all have to be sold in this window if they don't sign new deals. A very poor position for the club to be in.

Worst case none of those sign them and we potentially have a new team needing signed this summer

At least we have the ever reliable John Souttar.

Goldson will have his pick of PL sides in the summer. Can see him going to West Ham.

Nobody would buy Helander he's not reliable enough.

MARK MCGHEE has already made some interesting claims this week as his Dundee side gear up to take on St Johnstone in a relegation showdown.

The Dens Park boss revealed earlier this week that he was on a new diet and would not be turning on his heating, in a bid to ensure focus was fully on Saturday's game.

Now McGhee has made an agreement with his players that he will go NAKED, if they get the victory over their Perth rivals.

Could see Gerrard wanting Goldson but not Helander. Much depends on him being able to keep Villa in the league

----------------------------------------------------------------------
100% . If they go down he'll take one. Maybe even 2.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To be fair if they go down he may be out a job. Could coming calling for your Ange then

Orange or your Ange then?

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has confirmed that he will welcome Giorgos Giakoumakis back into his Celtic squad for Sunday's game against Ross County.

The forward missed Sunday's Scottish Cup showdown with Rangers, but he is set to return this weekend after recovering from a hamstring strain.

Postecoglou also confirmed that Josip Juranovic will not make the trip to Dingwall and he is set to be out for a "couple of weeks".

If villa go down then surely Gerrard gets the boot?

In terms of the players out of contract this season, I'd give Arfield another year as an impact sub. Balogun too if he's interested in another year with us. Davis hasn't been at it this year so perhaps retirement for him, likewise for McGregor. As far as the loans go, Diallo hasn't been worth the time and IMO he was brought in as cover for Hagi who should be back next season anyway. Ramsay I'd take on a heavily performance-based contract if Juve feel like cancelling his final year.

For the ones with a year left, if the coaches think McCrorie will ever make it then sign him on as we'll need to replace the keepers leaving. Helander, Jack, Sands, are all worth extending and I don't expect much trouble getting them signed up for another couple of years, outside keep and let them run down the final year. I'd love Katic to get an extension and claim a place in the starting lineup but struggling to see him get a chance even with our depleted back line. Aribo, Kent and Morelos all need extended or sold while we can still get value for them, although I'd hope we don't lose all three in one go. Lowry needs signed onto a long term contract but the noise around him moving has me worried. Hate to see homegrown players get a big move, though at this point he could be the next Billy Gilmour or the next Lewis MacLeod. Kelly, Middleton and Hastie will likely never make it with us, but I'd love Middleton to burst back into the team because he made a great start before falling away.

Hard for the young boys. Need better games than Lowland but don't want to sign a long term deal when the only carrot is Falkirk, Dundee or similar. They see Patterson get next to no game time but still get a life changing move and they trust in themselves. I imagine his agent is advising him to test the water to get the club to stick or twist?

Hagi, seems like him, his agent or his Da is constantly stirring the pot? That rarely ends well. I'd cash in.

Few reports that we are close to a deal for CCV - would be a great boost for the club - excellent player - unusually consistent for a central defender. Be great if we got him and jota signed up. Then 2/3 summer signings of a similar quality could see us really push on.

Chiellini is apparently going to be available on a free 😁 love that big lump

Believe it when I read it. Not holding much hope of Jota signing tbh.....his form has tailed off in 2nd half of the season for whatever reason and I don't believe he wants to sign......he wants back to Portugal probably.

CCV would be a great start to the Summer window
