Do you share his outmoded, outdated Victorian viewpoints on virtually everything?

He did very well out of dodging the new EU tax laws, it was well worth his while pushing for Brexit. Awful for the rest of us, but that's hardly his problem.

What issue do you have with him telling the lazy baastards in Whitehall to get back to work?

Some civil servants continue to work from home. As long as they're able to do their job, and maintain productivity, there's nothing wrong with. Which the civil service have been actively encouraging for some years now.

The "sorry you were out" letters left on empty desks was nothing more than a crass publicity stunt, aimed directly at his base. And futher evidences he's little or no understanding of how business works. As many people now hot desk, and the letters left by JRM will most likely be read by the wrong people.

They are at work, just not in eye-wateringly expensive London real estate that we're paying for with our taxes.
