I've started to think about who I would hope will still be with us next season.
Allsop. I agree with Terry. A really good goalie who has it all; good on crosses, good shot-stopper and comfortable with the ball at his feet. I would be happy to have Roos as number two but I'm sure he will leave.
Byrne. A super player especially going forward but much of his defensive play is underrated for some reason. Think of the number of times he has headed clear some really dangerous crosses to the far post.
Curt. In spite of his age he must stay and be given the captaincy.
Cashin. Could he develop into a Toddy? Why not?
Stearman. In spite of his lapse agin Brizzle a good solid pro whose experience will be needed.
Fozzie. Again a good solid, experienced pro.
Buchanan. I would hope to see him develop still further.
Bielik, Thommo, Bird, Rav. Variable at times but I would hope they would stay. If Thommo is allowed to play in his proper position (ie, not out on the left) then I think he could replace Knight. I think Bielik will go but if he were to stay with a full pre-season and get his form back he would be immense for us. Bird has developed into an excellent player, so calm on the ball. Rav has found a home and if allowed to play further forward would be a real asset. Knight has disappointed this season. Has he scored even one goal? I admire his energy but is it enough? I think he will leave anyway.
Sibley. Another to disappoint but I hope he will stay and develop. Needs more discipline in every sense of the word.
Ebiowei. What a talent! Like a good old-fashioned winger, always wanting to go forward and always willing to take on his man on either side (so rare) at pace. Can we hold on to him?
If we were still in the Championship I would think Lawrence could help us but I think he will go and anyway I can't see him being consistent enough in League One.
Bart. Not ready yet but may develop. Agin Brizzle he had no service so we don't know if his hold-up play is any good. It needs to be as he has little pace.
CKR. I doubt he will stay but he would be useful. Far more important to find a striking gem from a lower or foreign league.
There are doubtless others in the 23s or some I've just plain forgotten but over to you all for your views and also on what sort of new players we should be looking for.

I can tell you Chicago that Cybulski's hold up play isn't any good. Tall and thin like Wanchope, there the resemblance ends.

Totally agree Spart, he cant't trap a ball. I got told off from my lads for criticising him, but If Duncan Edwards could play for England at 18, I reckon the Pole at 20 should have headed that lovely cross from Forsythe into the net.
Whatever happened to that other forward player with high hopes, was his name Duncan?

That's the one, I wonder if he will return when he's 27 and maybe matured a bit.

Sounds like Harry Evans was a busy boy in our goal 🤔
