With only 4 weeks to go, only 2 Champions League places are up for grabs in the Premier League. 6 teams still have some sort of chance, and there are still a few games between those in the race. "Interesting" then to take a look at how these teams have performed against each other:

Team----------Played------For-----Against----Points
Arsenal----------9------------19--------11----------21
Man Utd--------10------------16-------11----------20
Chelsea---------10------------14--------9----------16
Wolves----------10-------------5---------6----------10
West Ham------10-----------8--------14------------9
Spurs------------9-------------7--------18------------6

If Arsenal can keep up their form in these games, and beat West Ham and Spurs, then top 4 looks very likely. Other fixtures are Leeds, Newcastle and Everton.

Spurs have kept in the race by thrashing bottom half dwellers like Leeds (4-0), Everton (5-0), Newcastle (5-1) and Villa (4-0) in recent weeks plus taking 7 points off the top 2 in 3 games. If they miss out it will be their dismal record in the "6 pointers" that will be costly. The Arsenal game is obviously a biggie, but if they can take their tally to 10 from the 4 games against the top 2 then it will give them a lot of hope.

Chelsea will all but end any fears of dropping out with a win over United - which will kill off the Mancs slim chances of top 5.

West Hams best chance of Champions League is to win the Europa, and that will be their focus over the next week. Defeat to Arsenal would mean they cannot usurp their London rivals.

Wolves have a chance of 6th, but anything higher looks out of their grasp.

So at what point did you stop valuing the "mini-league"?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Never said I do not value a mini league but this one is contrived, as explained.

Not only that but as also stated, it demonstrates almost no correlation to the actual table, so is almost entirely meaningless.

At the end of the season it could show United top of the mini league but below all but Wolves in the real league. Spurs could lose 8/10 in the mini league and come 4th in the real league.

As stated, i think this mini league is too abstract and irrelevant.

BTW....trawling through my history to 2014....Jeeez, get a life

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mini league had Everton, who finished 11th behind Swansea and Stoke.

If this table just had the teams in the positions they are in the league then it wouldn't show a lot.

The teams in it are those who can still finish top 4, quite clear parameters.

You are just crying cos Spurs are not top.

IMO its relevant and contrived. Not crying, just giving my view and explaining it. Deal with it.

Glad you admit it's relevant now that your own mini league articles have been exposed

Still can't get my head around the fact he cannot see his complaints about this are true for his many, many articles. They are all contrived, they are all irrelevant, none of them actually played out in real life.

This is just a look at how the teams still in with a chance of top 4 have performed against each other. It isn't a prediction or projection for what will happen in the future, just a summary of facts.
Not sure why the disdain over Wolves being in when the parameters for inclusion were explained.

Just comes across as someone unhappy his team isn't doing well in the particular grouping.

Aren't most stats pretty much irrelevant and contrived?

Also the fact that Wolves and Arsenal are 11 points apart doesn't mean we haven't been rivals this season. Us doing the double over them this season is huge in that regard. They did it over us last season and if they matched that then they'd be a point ahead of us right now.

I see you're dealing with this well

I'm just in the process of preparing a mini league of teams with 3 or less vowels in their name. The results are fascinating. Youll be pleased to hear that it reflects well on Arsenal and points to them winning all their remaining games

I'm just doing a comparison with results from 1942 for our remaining games to prove Spurs will win the league...

Brentford this season are the same level as Sheffield United last season, this is how it goes, right?
