I think the club will give ETH a better behind the scenes backing than any manager post SAF as while still not perfect it’s deffo getting better.

My main issue with ETH isn’t so much how the back room staff so, it’s more about how he handles his first massive job. Some managers sink, some swim.

Wouldn't mind Charles Xavier in charge. His scouting network would be awesome, and he could do it all himself from Carrington.

Post, yeah that is a worry. Though what I will say is that a big name signing isn’t necessarily the negative it’s made out to be. Let’s be honest, if we were in a good way on the pitch like City are would we be whingeing about signing someone like Haaland or Mbappe?

People seem to be under the assumption that big names are the reason we are in this mess, when we’ve actually failed to make good signings that are young talents or under the radar names even more often.

We've never been brilliant at under the radar signings, I think they've always felt that Hollywood FC pressure, that's going back to McQueen, Jordan, Stapleton, Robson, Birtles etc., the list goes on.

There aren't that many unheralded buys that were brilliant in recent memory. I guess it depends on your definition of unheralded, but I'd say Irwin, Evra, Vidic, Ole, Kanchelskis, Hernandez, Park, maybe Heinze, er, struggling a bit here

Hopefully we’ll improve on all these fronts. We need to if we want to compete with City and Liverpool.

The kind of signings we need to make are to sign good players who will fit into what ETH will try to implement. I couldn't care less now who they are and who they replace.

Tonight was pretty poor again with only De Gea and Ronaldo really coming out of it with amy credit. McT was anonymous that second half and I read his first completed pass of the second half was 84th minute. Not goof enough for a United midfielder.
