He's the attacking midfielder. Of course other things matter but in that position the key metric is assists.

Would go with chances created rather than assists.
Doesn't really matter anyway. Salah is deserving of the award.

Even with 0 assists, KDB would still be the best midfielder in most players and peoples eyes

As big of a fan of KDB i am and think hes probably the best player in the league, his form this season doesnt match some of his previous. Hasnt Silva been their star man in mf this year? and Gundogan last?

They want to speculate on city, utd and Chelsea fighting for the 100mil England star so naturally he's in the discussion.

But there's others if say spurs were able to defend that might be mentioned.

No de bruyne should of got it because salah hasnt looked like a footballer since afcon and KDB has looked good all season.

Mahrez has also been more consistent as well.

how could they be more consistent? you'd have to add mahrez and kdb goals and assists just to equal salahs totals. you're a massive tool.

I think Salah is the right choice

Certainly dipped since AFCON but he was playing at Balon D’or standard pre Xmas.

KDB is the opposite. Didn’t set the world alight pre Xmas but in 2022 has been a revelation.

Mane would’ve been my 3rd pick. Sensational season for club and country and arguably Liverpool’s best since returning from AFCON.
