We lost eddie, ajer, christie, and still had not replaced frimpong from the previous january window. There was so much work to be done.
It took the players a while to settle into the system, there is a lot of discipline required from the full backs in the inverted role, juranovic has nailed it but there are times taylor and ralston end up miles into the park leaving huge gaps.
His signings, and at least 4 of them he is getting all the credit for, have been excellent, though we havent seen much of ideguchi i still think he has something to contribute. They need a rest and a preseason behind them but i'm happy with their efforts thus far.
I think rangers are a good team, they are playing well in europe and that makes our triumph all the impressive. We are a work in progres and we have beaten a good team to reclaim our trophy.
Thought we were poor again yesterday, particularly in the second half, it was pure chaos. Joe hart constantly putting our cbs under massive pressure, we brought so much on ourselves. I don't know how it kept happening, but we had nothing up front yet rangers somehow managed to massive amounts of space behind our backline. Where was everyone?
Work still to be done, it was important not to lose but from where we were to where we are is terrific.

Pleasantly surprised at the Jota news.......was sure he wouldn't want to stay after his loan period ended....... great start to the Summer window......
CCV is not short of admirers......clubs in the lower echelons of EPL like yer Southampton's/Palace.....are after him........ I'm hopeful rather than optimistic......

I suppose Covid wiped out the only old yins who lived in the Calton too.. average age there must've dropped to the high 30s-low 40s over the past two years
