Imo we have had some luck.this year, in all competitions imo...and its a reason why i do genuinely believe we have a huge chance of winning the lot. I will go through a few of the top of my head:
Carabao cup....pretty easy run to the final where i termed it the "offside final"...mounts miss, havertz hits the post clean through and i swear lukaku was onside..i was dreading the goal; but no offside...but how close was that!
The league....over 38 games u do make ur own luck but we have had a majority of our key players fit and we played our two toughest traditional rivals in Everton and Utd at their worst for decades imo;
FA Cup.....to reach the final didnt really play anyone until we faced City, who rotated and left their bigger players out while we could pick qour strongest...the CL draw had a huge effect here and again it was kind to us.
CL...well...ok, yes we had the toughest group to start and we sorted that out but it wasnt like lose and ur out..it wasnt knock out yet. The knock out phase and we avoided CFC..PSG...CITY..R Madrid, but we did have Bayern...or so we thought until they got knocked out!! Tbh overall the knockout stage was pretty much ok, even when we lost (to Inter)we still went through. Villarreal and Benfica?? Its like group stage teams isnt it??
Now...add in klopp, Anfield and the Liverpool recruitment and that all is needed and been used so far, no luck there just sound decisions and history; but what about Diaz; was that lucky too? I mean if spurs hadnt moved for him it was rumoured that summer was the time we were going fir him...we may never have seen his impact.
Now right up to date...City, to lose like that in the CL...after 120 minutes then a game 4 days later....gives Newcastle an edge for me, another piece going our way?? Who knows as i writing this....but its not ideal going in Vs Newcastle.
Anyhow....you need luck to win one trophy, to have a realistic chance of four....you need LOADS of luck..a fantastic team and a great squad and a top manager; we have imo ALL of that this season...luck could be just the defining ingredient to achieving a quadruple!!

That's the issue atm. So many of teams chances against us are actually offside but rival fans think it was actual chances. They are not. Like Newcastle last weekend on motd the chances they showed for Newcastle I thi l all but 1 were offside.

Yes but it is incredibly frustrating due to the assistants now waiting for the chance as if it doesn't go in, they talk about a huge chance missed, when actualky it would have been offside when checked.
Although worse than that is how Spurs broke it with ease in the first game. We have to be careful with that this weekend.

To be fair, our current approach would not be sustainable if it wasn't for VAR as tight calls were so wrong previously. So historic teams couldn't do what we do to the level we do as the risk reward ratio was off. But ye we are class at it.

The spurs thing is a massive worry for me tomorrow. Of all the teams in the league (and I include city in this) they are probably the best equipped to beat our high line.
Kane can land a ball on a sixpence and son has the pace that he doesnt need to go early. The defence need to be abso all over kane so he cant get his head up.

No, having more possession does that as well as being on the front foot for the majority of the gane, which enabled us to attack more than them and therefore create more chances and have more shots. The XGs indicates we should have scored more goals than them which is expected since we had double the shots.
Please try to remember offsides do not count as chances.
