Derby County 0 - 1 Cardiff City

DERBY COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY Championship # 46

Saturday 7th May 2022. Pride Park Stadium (for the time being) 1230pm

FECK the EFL

So this is it, the last game of one of the most exciting seasons the club has ever had. Make the most of your seat because next time round you may be in a different seat.....in a different stadium.....in a different city....

Arrrr!!! Who cares? Its great that we can debate and moan and get cross and passionate and annoyed but at the end of the day, it's night and we cannot change anything. So, suck it up....

After a fantastic day last week where I eventually I met Scouse after some to-ing and fro-ing in the stand, Derby are expecting another full crowd in our Wuro game v Cardiff City.

TL and Bielek are available to play in what could be their swan songs. Actually, could be the last we see of several players.

The die is cast, we're in League 1 - lets embrace it and enjoy Saturday

First XI: Allsop, Forsyth, Bird, Lawrence (C), Morrison, Sibley, Ebiowei, Davies, Knight, Cashin, Thompson.

Subs: Roos, Stearman, Watson, Ebosele, Aghatise, Plange, Cybulski.

Thanks Vidal, filled in a few gaps. I would never have recognised Ron Webster from that photo.
Steve Powell still looking good, he was a couple of years older than me at school

Back row from left to right:

Alan Durban, Ron Webster, Colin Boulton, don't know, Alan Hinton, Roger Davies, Roy McFarland

Front row:

Don't know, 2 young ones who are descendants, maybe of John Robson?, Colin Todd, Steve Powell, Jim Walker and John O'Hare.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The bloke between Colin Boulton & Alan Hinton is Henry Newton.

The two young blokes are indeed John Robson's sons. Just need to suss-out the bloke far left (who does have a familiar look about him), is it possibly Stuart Webb?

Well done Scouse. I thought it looked a bit like SW

Toddy, cool as ever

Yes I had thought he looked like Stuart Webb but thought they were supposed to be players. Thanks for Henry Newton though he signed a year or two later.

I'm not certain on Henry Newton, just what I've see on social media.

I also though Stewart Webb left under a cloud?

All clouds are relative, these days...

Webb's finest hour was in securing promotion from the Third Division in the Rotherham match, or so I have heard it suggested.
