Once again it seems we are on the verge of liquidation. Despite Kirchner's media offensive which it seems was designed to try to put the pressure on Morris and morally blackmail him into "gifting" the stadium, thr latter will not budge. Kirchner says it is at an impasse but that he remains hopeful. Rumours are resurfacing of Ashley who has been watching from the sidelines like a vulture.
I don't claim to understand what is going on but it seems that:
DCFC owes MSD 23 million pounds and the security on this loan is the stadium. Which suggests that MSD need to be paid in full or else they will take the stadium. Don't ask me how it is possible for Morris to own the ground and yet for DCFC to have the stadium as secuity against its debt to MSD because I don't know.
Morris has loans to DCFC which he is not prepared to write off unless a stadium deal is done to his satisfaction. It is said that 2 of his own properties, worth several million, are security against these or other loans and he doesn't want to lose those. So even if DCFC were to ground share with another club, Morris would call in those loans from DCFC's new owner which adds millions more to what it would cost Kirchner to buy the club. A club without its own ground to play in so no longer a viable deal for Kirchner.
So Morris is being asked to pay MSD 23 million pounds and to write off the personal loans he has to DCFC. Which he won't do. MSD obviously aren't going to accept less that the full amount owed to them if they have the stadium as security. Kirchner clearly won't pay more than what he has currently offered to buy the club. Hence the impasse.
I have probably got most of this wrong to feel free to correct me, but that seems to be the size of it. Is it that Morris CAN'T take the financial hit, rather than he won't? Would it completely wipe him out? We assume he still has a few hundred million quid floating about but maybe he hasn't.
Does anyone have any understanding of what the eff is going on?

Isn't it great to have so many divergent opinions! Here's a few more from yours truly.
I think Ebiowei is a huge talent. Remember he is inexperienced and came straight into the team from the 18s!
Ed Dawes is fine. Very passionate and on the ball.
Steve Nich has been a very good reporter - always balanced and fair. Remember he is not employed by DCFC and that his online stuff has to be a different animal from the hard copy stuff.

I very much agree with your second and third points, but we will have to see about Malcomb.
I've just read that Everton could have got Haarland for £60K and didn't buy, I wonder why we didn't spot him? The profit we would have made would have saved us from the current fiasco.

"League 1 player, not a hope, get rid".
What great fans we have. After all we have been through this season, the unity between fans and players. A young kid thrown into the team in the most difficult of situations yet has already made a big impact. How about giving the lad a break and supporting him rather than writing him off?

I think Ebiowei will be a better player than Ebosele. Happy to see both continue to play for us if it were possible.

50 years since we won the league with Alan Hinton on the wing. Gladys never ran into space to look for the ball. He stayed on the wing and waited for it to be given to him. Brian Cloiugh used to tell Archie Gemmill that his job was to run around and get the ball and then give it to Hinton, because Hinton was a a better player than him.
Not that Ebiowei is a Hinton just yet but some players are better having the ball come to their feet before they weave their magic. He's got a lot of talent, that's for sure.

I am sick to the pit of my stomach. I had an uneasy feeling about Kirchner when he wrote his letter to the fans and I voiced my concerns on here. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think he will get the takeover completed. Make no mistake we are on the brink, we have no real assets worth buying without the ground.

Pleased to see that fans have voted Keogh the third most influential player of the last decade, behind Bryson and Hughes

Heb I'm surprised Martin wasn't above Keogh, I wonder how far down the list is Sammon.

If the latest rumour is true (another extension) then this is getting beyond ridiculous. How many more extensions can there be? We can only hope the administrators believe CK has a real chance of succeeding or why bother?
