Offside rule, versus VAR.

Agreed...the time taken from Ings picking up the ball to actually scoring & being given offside is ridiculous

I'm an advocate of VAR though...if used right

The moment Alisson saved, the flag should've went up but the linesman probably focused on Ings more and when Watkins picked up the ball he misread the situation

City had decoy players standing in offside positions and them playing the ball to other runners...we really need to be aware of this tactic because Villa's goal is a similar situation

This does happen ….not sure about every week but it does happen

Also see free kicks given when an offside should have gone the other way….I always say to myself after I wonder if VAR will now disallow the goal if one is scored from the free kick or corner as it should have been offside so it definitely does happen ….maybe it’s a mistake though

Or They classify as 2nd phase but it’s rubbish

A player is going to get seriously injured soon when there will be no need for it to happen cos the flag should have been raised earlier and play stopped

Yep this. Chelsea got a goal disallowed earlier in the season for something that happened 3/4 phases before. It’s ridiculous the officiating this season
