No, it really is bollix. You have taken one article that 'estimates' a number using unstated and highly questionable assumptions and little facts - absolutely no clarity how they arrive at it.

Pre-covid the UK was getting just below 40m tourists entering the country every year. By your estimate each and every one of them is spending about £500 on the royal family - EVERY single one? Nah, not having that.

Oh, you mean they only come to the UK because of her maj? Bollix - most come to see the place, business, short trips, friends.

Your numbers simply do not stack up. Did not pass the sanity clause. My sources say 2016 £22.6bn was spent by those visitors but you claim somehow £19bn was spent on the royals? Nah, nah, nah.

The lyrics of your national anthem literally say “long to reign over us”.You are singing a song that makes you all look like little subjects. That’s why it should be booed.

Furthermore, sure the monarchy brings in some revenue, but saying that the monarchy is the primary reason of tourism is utter nonsense.

Take the royals away and people are STILL going to visit the UK.
