This is Spurs, remember

Great result for us last night obviously. Now in our hands, and if you think back to mid March we were 6 points behind them, and they had a game in hand!!
But I’ve seen a few fans thinking it’s done. Counting their chickens on footballs way too early
This is, after all, Tottenham Hotspur. We are perfectly capable of ballsing this completely up. It’s a one off game, yes we couldn’t ask for a much easier game, but losing it now and gifting Arsenal CL when they looked dead and buried by losing to the relegated rock bottom team would just about be the most Spursy moment ever.
I’m nervous I gotta say. 42 years of Spurs has done this to me

Classic example was the Burnley match day thread. One poster after 5 minutes into the game said we would win "comfortably". We did anything but lol.

Exactly. Hope there's a good away fan turnout. We will need it

Ideally we want Everton to be 3-0 up at half time at Emirates.

Yeh more than 30 years of following Spurs and 20 years of ENIC has done this to Spurs fans, we have seen epic failure as a matter of course over the years, so there is no wonder fans are worried we will find a way to fack it up. I won't be celebrating until it's confirmed, it could go all Spursy yet.

From Fab :

Tottenham will sign both Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero on a permanent deal. Spurs will invest around €80m total fee for two players who are considered key part of the project for present and future. ⚪️🤝 #THFC

Antonio Conte's also very happy with Romero and Kulusevski.

So is that €80m taken away from this summer's budget or has Levy been keeping the funds for these two purchases seperate?

I'm guess Romero's transfer fee will already be accounted for and Kulu has a clause which stipulates should we qualify for CL we have to buy him for €35m.

Either way IF we do finish in 4th we are effectively down €80m before the start of the window.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then why can't we buy players with next summers budget also???

You can't look at it in isolation. It also means we didn't spend €80m of last summers budget.

So many articles saying the same thing

It’ll be fine so grow a pair and enjoy it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I take it you’re not very old and haven’t seen what I’ve seen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I lived through the 90s thanks. To many pessimistic people for no reason
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Me too but until we are in a winning position on Sunday I won't relax or think 4th is a done deal.

I will never be so arrogant or confident to think this team has won a match before a ball is kicked.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We don’t need to win
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I want us to win to put the whole thing to bed. It is better to win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, if it's 0-0 going into the 80 min and Norwich are growing in the game (like we have seen a lot this season) there will be a lot of nerves.

Hopefully we can put this to bed early though
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly and if Arsenal are beating Everton then those nerves multiply. All ifs and buts.

True but we will probably look at a few more loans to buys. Seems to be the flavour of the month with Levy.

I think lost to a team called FC Mura or something like that. So we can certainly lose to Norwich.
