Garner

How good, or poor is he?
It would be great if a fan who can attend matches fills me in on his qualities. He always looks quiet and tidy to me, but is there more?
I hope you come up, I used to like visiting you in the past. Plus you had Cloughie, a genius.
Cheers to anyone who has a couple of minutes to reply.

Too good for Championship in my opinion. If we go up, I would love to keep him on loan for a season. I think it will be important for him to get regular football at that level. I would imagine it may be a season too early to be a regular next season at united.

He has been quite dynamic this season. We play three centre-backs which means there isn't as much emphasis for a midfield to hold his position, however I think this will be where he is best.

He has a good range of passing and decent set pieces, although last night his corners were not working! Since Cooper came in he has shown big improvements. He isn't afraid to do the dirty work and works incredibly hard on the pitch.

Garner has fantastic potential, delivers a superb deadball and doesn’t very often get ruffled. He does on occasion find it difficult to get into a game, such as last night. He’s definitely a player we’d love to sign, but if I’m honest I’m not sure he has enough presence to get into a Utd first team, possibly a bit too quiet, plus you like your big names like the vastly overrated Pogba. Garner is definitely worth being given a chance by ETH, who I believe likes too give younger players a chance, but I’m not sure it will happen. As I said if you don’t want him, we’ll definitely take him off your hands.

He is developing nicely, whether or not he is ready to play in a top 6 Premier team is difficult to judge.

Now a serious point to note here; he had gone backwards when he returned to Forest at the start of the season and has only started to develop again since Steve Cooper took over!

Thanks for the replies lads. Pretty much what I thought, but you have more knowledge.

Really good point about him growing into the season, unsure what happens in pre-season but he seemed well off it to start with. Perhaps he is a lad who is affected by confidence, he seems quiet and thoughtful!

Maybe in an environment like Man U where you are scrutinised so intently it’s a bit much for him at this moment in time.

Technically very good. Covers a lot of ground and wins back the ball. Good passing range and usually good at set pieces lthough he doesn't score many.

His slight frame means he is sometimes out muscled. I'd like to see him develop a bit of a nasty streak.

I'd say a good alternative to Matic or Fred
