Carried Away Somewhat?

Kept pretty quiet about the final but had to post this.

From BBC Sport this morning

Billy McNeill, John Greig and Willie Miller are the only captains who've led a Scottish side to this kind of glory. James Tavernier could be the fourth.

Comparing Tavernier to Greig and Miller in itself is ridiculous. Comparing any of them to McNeill is an absolute travesty.

No doubt a good achievement but i feel we are all getting slightly carried away.

Are they comparing them for skills and impact, or just the fact they all won a European cup?

Nothing wrong with that.

If we won that trophy last night….Tav would have been up there

I’ve never been his biggest admirer but what an achievement winning that tonight would have been…and given he’s been part of the club since the Championship days, who would’ve begrudged him…only folk bitter at seeing it happen that’s all

Wasn’t to be unfortunately
