Europa league

Do some fans still think this isn't a Cup worth winning? I'll be very envious of Rangers if they pull it off. We really treated this cup with disdain over the years.

British teams in general have been terrible at this competition. Is it only Chelsea that have won it?

But yeah we have particularly underachieved in it. To not even make a semi-final when West Ham and Fulham have tells you everything.

Didn't Utd win it with Maureen? Somewhere round 2017?

TBH though, Spurs have been sh!!!te in any European football competition for the last 50 years.

They’ve won the UEFA cup twice in the last 50 years.

Rangers v Frankfurt was a bit of a left field final 2 when you see the likes of Barca, Dortmund, Leipzig, Leverkusen, West Ham in it.

Surely an English side will win it sooner rather than later.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea won it three years ago.

It's a big deal for a club like Rangers who play in a small league.

For big teams, in big leagues, it's not a major competition. For a PL team, the only major competitions are the triple crown titles.

Tbh though, all the UEFA comps seem to be on their last legs, even the CL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
TBH, I think every team no matter who they are should be trying to win EVERY trophy the enter & was right pee'd off when Liverpool used to go out of the domestic cups early due to lack of squad depth.

Anybody who thinks a trophy is beneath their team deserves to NEVER see their team win a trophy.

You would not get on with Daniel Levy

Well, being one of the few actual scousers on this site, I was never going to be supporting Spurs was I?

I'm fairly sure you probably have a close relatation younger than 5 years of age smarter than yourself.

Apart from coming runners up in the champions league 2019 👍

And winning a European trophy only 38 years ago.

Compared to Real Madrid, then so have Liverpool.

Not like its easy to win it but as a manager you should try as the fans will love you for it.

Giving the fans a final is special to them regardless of what it is
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully the players will begin to think like this with a new mentality.

Don’t worry, he clearly didn’t understand that Dan Levy was the butt of my comment, yet then went on a rant about my intellect, oh the irony

To be fair since 2015 we’ve been in 2 League cup finals and the Champions league final - we just haven’t been winning them.

I was majorly disappointed with our Euro campaign this year, that competition was so winnable for us, but we treated it with utter disdain.

It’s a huge season for the club next year as a lack of backing in the market and a trophy likely spells the end of Kane and Conte, at which point Son and Romero’s head could be turned also.

Win a trophy and assure Conte of further backing and Kane could well see out his days at Spurs and Romero and Son happy to continue.

Could be a real sliding doors moment

Levy needs to understand he has 2 years or maybe less to win something with Kane, Conte and Son.

This is a generational combination that we need to take advantage of. 2 premier league greats at their peak and a world class manager.

If he andnin particular Joe Lewis don't understand this then we might as well be called Tottenham Westfield and go into retail and forget daring to do anything.

its a good cup once you get to the latter stages tbh...

although the existence of the conference league now makes it feel a bit more prestigious.

I suppose that having been recent CL finalists.... that is where our attention lies... its not like we are arsenal who havent got to the quarter finals of the CL since 2006....
