Diallo

Playing for Rangers in Scottish Cup final

posted on 21/5/22

Diallo has really made the difference here. In that Rangers probably wouldn’t have won if he’d stayed on.

He's been poor for Rangers. I was expecting much better after the hype he got when he signed for United.

Still have high hopes for him and hope he features under ETH next season.

Guys, don't get your hopes up. The bears are not on cos they are giddy at winning their first Scottish cup for about 20 years and are all down the ground giving each other rusty trombones.

Fact is last week rangers youth team beat hearts 1st team in a meaningless league game so it didn't really matter who rangers put out today. Diallo was as he has been - absolutely meh. Any £20m player should be ripping it up in our league and he is still just a wee boy. He had a sitter end of 1H where it was easier to score but his 50p heid managed to sky it.

He is not your messiah, trust us. Right now I doubt he is even championship standard? Needs to man up more than anything or he will never make it in any league.

Diallo improved a lot in a short space of time for us. Was awful in his first couple appearances, literally shirking away from challenges, wasn’t tracking men and no fight at all, but to be fair to him that should have been expected having never played mens football. He missed a couple big chances as well which can’t have been good for his confidence, and didn’t get a look in for a couple months.

In his last few appearances, although was nothing to play for in league, he’s looked a different player, has been putting in a shift defensively and putting himself about more. Talent was never in question, but change in attitude has been great, as much as he still looks like a kid that’s won a raffle to play mens football. A lot of Rangers fans would be happy to take him on loan another year after the last month though.

Was front and centre yesterday for the cup lift yesterday, and looks like he’s really enjoying himself here now. So wouldn’t surprise me if he stayed another year.
