Glad we won it this way

Not a great experience for the fans coaching staff and funnily United fans but this experience is huge for the players. This experience will grow this group of players. We need to learn how to deal with adversity and this is great practice. Unlucky for young palmer who I think needed one more appearance to get a medal.

Pep got the team selection wrong but fair play to him, he changed it quickly. As good as we have been in the wake of Madrid some players have concerned me none more than Cancelo. We have been fortunate in the league our defensive errors have not been punished and him and Fernandinho lately have been guilty and Ederson has struggled badly in the latter part of the season. On the other end Allisson saves Liverpool so many times. Without Allisson this league race doesn't even go to the last day.

Nevertheless, the team has to continue improving. Another title without a number 9. Last season is Pep's best in terms of how he managed the side but this season's title gives us a chance next season to go for 3 in a row.

Turning point of the season, Rodri's clearance at Anfield. That was a tough week and for me the point at Anfield meant Liverpool couldn't get their momentum going early in the season.

Rodri player of the season.

Thought Zinchenko was brilliant. Has balls aswell. Gundo is staying. Will run down his contract as will Sterling.

We should be preparing for a 2nd CL Final next week but we will take another PL Title. We have gone past Chelsea by the way on 6 Premier League Titles.

AMAZING END TO THE SEASON

Good summary, I agree with all of it. I will leave Ferna out but Cancelo doesn't seem to learn or maybe the pressure is too much and he loses concentration in big games and Pep was so frustrated talking to him mid game but my word is Gundo the opposite, such a big game player and always has been consistent at that. I will be sad to see him leave.

On another note, do you know why Gerard snaped at the journalist when asked about the pitch invasion? He said something like 'ask Pep?!'... Hitting opposition players is rubbish thing to do but a bit weird how he directed it to pep as if he told the fan to smack his keeper!

Cancelo frustrates. Switched off for their first as he did for Madrids. Persists in floating back post balls in for our midget attackers. And thinks “most attempts off target” is an individual award. Still, more than played his part for the team this year, we got over the line and all is well 🍻

I wont lie Cancelo concerns me. Plays the game like its 5 aside or beach soccer.

I honestly dont think he is good enough. I hope he proves me wrong. I hope we sign Cucurella

I don't know about your points of view OP, but,
Well done the team and Pep. A great achievement and you beat a great team.
Enjoy it, it doesn't come often.

why have you deleted my comment?

Anyway, I am surprised you have gone ahead of Chelsea in terms of Premier Leagues won.

I think most on here worry about Cancelo's concentration which at this level is criminal...

Any other news? Maybe time for this move?

Cancelo's form has certainly slipped of late but as previously stated, a vital cog in our title winning machine.

I thought it was obvious that Gerrard had studied tapes of our 2 previous defeats.

Both Spurs and Real Madrid used the same tactic of getting the GK to timewaste and random players to mysteriously drop to the ground with 'injuries' to break up play - Injuries that were enough to get the ref to stop play but not serious enough to warrant the trainer coming on so the player would have to leave the pitch.

Pep got his subs so right and Zinchenko should be given extra praise for his input after the torrid time he had against West Ham.

Echos of 2012 and Aguero but yesterday was arguably better.

People making out Gerrard did something amazing when XG shows Man City 3.32 vs Aston Villa 0.25. Villa scored out of nowhere from a cross and then had a long punt ip field chance and then another one like that with Man City desperate. If anything Gerrard tactics were shocking and at 0-2 up his side completely caved in. Inviting so much pressure. Man City missed some very good chances before they scored.
