2) U23s - sadly relegated and for no other reason but the fact that they lost so many players throughout the season to bench for the seniors. Players were pulled off the field after 30 minutes or 45 minutes irrespective of the scoreline or needs for the U23s. They started on fire this season and were going very well until the first team injuries kicked in and from then on in they were promoting u18s to fill gaps and results suffered badly. Chelsea had the luxury of throwing in a couple of senior players in their final match to gain a victory that relegated us. We need to get promoted next season. Having an U23 side that is playing against the best teams gives us a better indication of whether we have players who can progress.

We have Sutcliffe and Kenneh out of contact. Kenneh is a quality versatile player at this level and its a surprise that we haven't tied him down yet.
Archie Gray needs giving a professional contract as soon as we are able to. In addition a number of players are now down to 1 further season on their contracts only. This squad will walk the league next season if it is allowed to be its own identity. Only players who are playing outstanding or showing in training they are good enough to be on the bench to come on and make a positive contribution should be seen anywhere near the first team. We should not be using them to simply travel the country to bench warm with almost zero chance of getting on the pitch and then consequently missing U23s games.
