Wha happen?!

Incredible day - incredible result(s) - incredible scenes.

I was so drained by the end of it all I literally had to have a sleep. As much as I thought we weren't going to survive, I'm naturally ecstatic that we did.

Still can't get my head around it.

Humungous congratulations to Jesse Marsch and the players for digging us out of the doo-doo.

It's MOTD again next season and hopefully a bigger, better squad equipped to stabilise our place in the PL.

The owners have had the mother of all warnings regarding their strategy. There are now no more excuses. For the first time in 4 years we have a manager/coach in place at the end of the season without wondering "will he or won't he sign?"

JM won't stand for the size of squad he inherited so I fully expect significant incoming transfer activity, and for that business to be conducted early and focused on improving the first team squad. No more dithering.

Deep down, I hope that Raph stays - he certainly seems to have an emotional connection with LUFC but only time will tell how his future maps out. I now expect KP to stay - you don't build by allowing your best players to leave.

Whatever happens, it's going to be an fascinating summer and one during which we'll be preparing for another season in the PL. Who would have thought?

I'm sure that a certain Mr. Bielsa in Rosario will be equally relieved at today's news - but then he probably always believed that his players would come good.

Perhaps now is the time to thank MB properly for his immense part in our journey - his legacy remains intact and hasn't been tarnished by the ultimate consequence of a poor season, two thirds of which were under his tenure.

JM took over a squad shot full of holes, with confidence at rock bottom and the clock ticking ever louder. By the skin of their teeth both the new coach and the players have done their bit. It's over to the owners now.

Dare to let us down again at your peril.

Marsching on in the PL together

I'd like to think we never have another season like this one, but we are Leeds, so expect the unexpected. Justice was done, I think. Burnley have had six years of the Premier League. They have spent next to nothing and sold out to a shyster with holes in his pockets. So much for being honest curators of the club. We feel for them, having been through the same experience with Bates and GFC. Maybe Radz can send them MB's phone number.
Villa had the second season syndrome, so did Leicester, look at them now. Let's learn from this and, hopefully move onward and upward. MOT.

Leicester's second season syndrome was somewhat different to be fair - we WON the league.

I think Bielsa would have kept us up, but that is something were never going to know!..

Marsch has done well, but we had a lot off luck, would we have won if it was 11 v 11 the whole game?..

I'm glad it went our way and credit to Marsch and the players, but we have to look to next season and see what Marsch can do, hopefully he can do us well but the real test is yet to come!..

JM seems to have/bring that little bit of luck that Leeds haven't had for a long time
