I know Bamford for many is untouchable. As in,
you can't criticize him on the pitch. However, he's hardly
played at all this season (7-9 games?). And had four
separate, fairly major injuries. If someone came in with
a decent bid for him, I'd bite their hand off. Who knows
how effective he'll be from now on. We need players
who can play on a consistent basis. In JM's high tempo system. Paddy doesn't fall into that category. Great
bloke, sweet left foot, fast as hell when fit. Perfect for
Bielsa's system. But we've moved on. Might be time
to do the same with PB.

Arsenal fans reporting that Nketier has agreed to stay at Arsenal with a new contract of £90K per week.
That's a pity as I think he would have fitted quite nicely into JM's plans.
Maybe seriously go for Che Adams now then???

Macca, I'm starting to think it could well be Patson Daka
from Leicester we're in for. Was at Leipzig when Marsch
was there. So makes a ton of sense.

Outside of that, Che Adams seems the other likely one.

No reason why we can't keep Bamford and sign another striker. If we sell Bamford two strikers are needed!

It could be the usual paper talk that links Leeds with all and sundry but there's does seem to be stronger substance to the belief that Leeds are definitely after more than one forward and even with Nketier now seemingly staying at Arsenal, Daka, Adams and Minamino look like very realistic targets.

So if we do get all 3 adding to Gelhardt then it is hard to see Bamford being happy with playing 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th fiddle. If we only sign 1 or 2 new forwards then yes keep Bamford but also we're assuming Rodrigo will exit this summer but if he stays then the picture changes again. Exciting and Interesting stuff though!
