Real Transfer Deadline Day

By all accounts among Conte's various transfer demands is that he is able to have the majority of his squad available to him before our pre-season tour of S Korea.

That is a huge ask and for it to happen we will have to change so many of the fundamentals of how we operate in the transfer market.

Among the many transfer failings of the club in recent years is that we treat the final week of the transfer window as the start point of our transfer dealings rather than their end and often we pay a heavy price for it.

With a volatile manager like Conte who puts so much stock by pre-season we need to see the start of the Korea tour, or at least the start of the season as our actual transfer deadline day this year. Backing the manager doesn't just mean spending huge amounts of money but giving him the best chance of success and that includes bringing in players early so that he can have the most time to work with them in pre-season.

Over to you Daniel. Let's see if you've actually changed

Agreed Strike. Would absolutely love a boss man midfielder that’s comfortable on the ball and can dictate play. Someone with a key eye for a pass forward also.

Wing backs seem to be difficult and we need to ensure home grown quota is met

Times reporting that we are interested in Bissouma .

He's got a year left on his contract so £30m could be enough.

Would be a great addition!

I’d absolutely love Bissouma. He always dictates games and is PL proven. 25 years old at £30m is a bargain.

Not heard about him from any of the “trusted” sources but would be very happy if it were to happen.

Filip Kostić looks a possibility as wing back

Would love him, with Eriksen. Buy 2 of Raum, Kostic and Spence for the WB. Maybe Bellotti to back up Kane and add Bastoni and Bremer - that team could compete on all fronts.

The issue with Bissouma is the police investigation against him. Does anyone know if it’s still ongoing and if so the fact it could go to trial would completely derail us.

No idea ABC. How long do investigations take!?

Would be such a great signing.

Who cares about his investigation. Brighton don't and they have been playing him. He has been playing well. Probably some bint who is trying to make a few quid of him or was rejected. As long as he has a decent lawyer he should be ok.

Totally agree, Last Minute Levy needs to change his miserly and tight arst ways

Kulu is an example of missing out on a first choice target and ending up with the better player and deal.

All the early evidence suggests that Kulu is better suited to the PL than Diaz, he is stronger, better defensively and is producing better numbers. Diaz looks better technically, but has less end product, is too lightweight and produces a lot of fancy looking skills for less results.

Of course, the media will laud Diaz until the cows come home though, as he plays for their darlings.

Think Díaz has looked pretty decent to be honest, not that I’m unhappy with Kulu. Think both clubs ended up with decent players there.
