Why would Mbappe go to Liverpool? This was only ever fantasy in the minds of their fans.

Because they are 1 of the 2 best sides in Europe and have a great manager signed up until 2026.

I know Liverpool would never pay his wages but in purely football terms a 2 or 3 year deal at Liverpool is arguable the best thing he could have done.

Are they one of the two best? For my money, Real, Bayern, City & PSG themselves are definitely better.

Don’t forget it wasn’t long ago that they lost 6 (six) home league games in a row and were the laughing stock of the PL.

Also with Klopp it fizzled out for him badly at Dortmund. I think his LFC stint is also destined to end badly.

Yes they are far better than PSG, Bayern and Real. They beat all 3 of those teams points tallies in a far stronger league.

Many on this site will know I’m far from a Liverpool fan but I can appreciate they are a top side.

I too thought they were beginning to fizzle out but this season has shown that it isn’t the case and he has refreshed again wisely with the likes of Konate and Diaz.
