Thought this was quite interesting a comparison for both players for the league games.
Both are brilliant players. We are happy with Kulu and I think Liverpool fans are happy with Diaz.
I think if the club knew what was going to happen to Diaz, the Kulusevski signing would have been earlier on in January.

Kulu has been a revelation. I'm trying to think of a player who has come in from abroad and had as good an impact as he has in his first season.
He looks like he has a good head on his shoulders and will only get better. I hope we make him our first signing.

Jimmy Greaves came from Milan, and he wasn't bad in his first season for Spurs.

Does seem a bit strange that Spurs went for Diaz first over Kula when Kula seems to fit Spurs a lot better than Diaz probably would have done. Diaz would have been wasted on the right wing.
Diaz is perfect for us but was probably a bit of a blessing in disguise to miss out on him for Spurs.

The "Spurs were going for Diaz and Liverpool nicked him from under their noses" is purely media talk, primarily from Sky, who love any sort of sensation, even if it is not true.
Firstly, just how much did Spurs peruse Diaz ? anyone actually know, or are we all taking what Sky say as gospel.
It is though, a known fact that Liverpool were and had for some time been lining Diaz up anyway. So getting him was not even remotely a surprise.
Then there is the player Spurs actually did go and buy. Anyone at Spurs not happy with that choice ? nah, didn't think so.
A typical media storm in a tea cup, with both clubs actually ending up with good players, resulting in another Sky "sensational news story" coming to nothing.
Moving on.......

Diaz is special, after a proper pre- season and some time to train/develop.....he might well be our best attacker. I think he already is TBH.....its not all about numbers. He's miles better than Jota for example

You think? Jota has been excellent as well and edges it for me.

He's not miles better than Jota he's just very different. You won't see Jota doing little tricks when controlling the ball or flying past a defender but he's tenacious and there's very few players in world football you'd have in the box before him with the ball coming in about head height. Ultimately, you need players who get goals (especially in tight games with half chances) and Jota does that.
