Spurs and financial doping

I'm no accountant but many Spurs fans seemingly are so they can explain..

I know Spurs are thick end a billion in the red, but can the owners just pump £150m into the club?

How does this payment circumvent FFP? Maybe if it is invested in academy and stadium? But not players surely... that is not the Spurs way!!

OP

Spurs are loaded. Proper money, not stolen like the Chelsea wedge of the past 20 years.

If you got magnificent stadium like us that holds above 60k and generates lots of money thru food and drink outlets it's possible.

We had a wonderful recent game when we spanked Arsenal and the atmosphere was amazing.

Couldn't have them fackers beating us at home and taunting us about a small home support

Hounslows. The small home support is at Stamford Bridge, circa 31,000 crowds.

Isn’t it tax avoided money that Lewis banks offshore?

Lewis is a traitorous tax dodger who deliberately wrecked the UK economy with his mate George Soros.

So he went to jail for his crimes? or did he do the equivalent of you and me going to the bookies?

I look forward in July to seeing the Joshua Uysk rematch at the Brentford Community Stadium, and it's live!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'd be disappointed but you can regularly watch Rugby there, if you wanted to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah...well jel of their £15m commercial revenues
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's only 5 million less than the starting range you say you are looking to pomp your stadium out for. It helps Brentford so good for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Im not knocking Brentford, they are a small club and their £15m commercial revenues reflect that.

But i am laughing at your suggestion that their community stadium is a direct comparison to Spurs stadium for high profile events such as world heavy weight fights and superbands like Guns & Roses.

Its like saying the Savoy doesnt have a USP compared to the nearest travelodge
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, great debating with you Dev. You are a knowledgeable poster who brings up many interesting points. Great to have a thread where we all learn something about each others' clubs rather than bicker.

One thing we can agree on (but not be certain as sport changes so quickly) is that Arsenal could be left behind if they don't watch it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That last bit we can agree on

Sadly our spineless government won’t make it illegal to avoid paying the tax off money you earn in this country but hide abroad.

Manipulating FX wasn't a 'crime' as such back then.

I'm sure if we went to the bookies with a George Soros like figure who had the inside track on whatever we were betting on we'd come out richer.

I go to Hungary quite often unlike Soros who has several death threats hanging over him for previous traitorous acts in his home country.

So the "we are panicking as we can see another rival coming up quickly on our blind side" post.

Spurs fans, we all need to get used to this as these will start coming thick and fast.

As for this numb nut. Calling out Spurs debts, when his club ran up a £1.5 billion debt with one individual, who is now in disgrace.

From a club who has a stadium that is not even "fit for commercial purpose" even if we were still in the 1990's. And has a leaky roof ffs. Compared with Spurs who have the best stadium in Europe, which is already generating enough commercial income not only to cover the stadium lending, but will generate massive income for the club year on year.

Chelsea on the other hand, haven't even got to the point of starting the discussion as to how, when and what regard any sort of new stadium. Yeah good luck with the disruption that will cause you, not to mention covering the cost.

Post all the rubbish you want, whilst we will sit back, enjoy our already built stadium, Chanmpions League football, oh and catching you lot up. Something that will happen real quick now you have to experience football with the same financial ties as everyone else ( bar City and Newcastle, who will also be catching you lot up too )
