It is not Hannibal Lector he's named after

Jibri is Tunisian...

History - Hannibal was a Carthaginian (which is Tunisia now) general and statesman who commanded the forces of Carthage in their battle against the Roman Republic during the Second Punic War around 200 BC. He is historically regarded as one of the greatest military commanders in ancient times

Yeah. Hannibal Lectern and Smith were imaginary characters.
Oh and that crossing the Alps with elephants was quite notable. Sure it was in all the papers at the time.
