Predictions you got right this season

As fans, the majority of us are hit and miss to say the least but now and again we get things right even sometimes when it’s an unpopular opinion.

I’ve got loads wrong this season but I’ll give 3 examples of predictions I’ve gotten correct.

1. I predicted City will be fine without a CF. Some were almost writing off City when they missed out on Kane almost forgetting they didn’t play with a CF for most of last season. They were top scorers in the league with 99 goals.

2. Lukaku won’t be a success at Chelsea and they won’t be title contenders. Many fans (not necessarily Chelsea fans) and pundits were declaring Lukaku as a great signing and Chelsea as title favourites. I know they had injuries to key players but I highly doubt they’d have kept pace with the top 2 even with a fully fit squad. Lukaku has been mainly poor also and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him back at Inter.

3. Now I’ll admit I made this prediction before it looked like a remote possibility but over the last couple of years when fans said they would love to have Ronaldo back I always felt it would be a mistake and it’s time to move on. I said that if he did ever come back that he would still score goals and have good individual stats but the team and his teammates would likely suffer. I think I called it right. I’m not for a second suggesting this season was his fault nor do I agree that we would be far worse off without him.
