We couldn’t have planned for Gerrard leaving and getting cash in for him, for Hagi getting injured, Lundstram being such a flop. Or getting cash in for Patterson, and getting a couple other bodies off the wage bill.
Ridiculous to talk about planning and that we should’ve signed Veerman. As if we had 5m or so to spend up front last summer + wages?
If Ramsey wants to play for us, and we can afford him, then it’s a brilliant signing.
