I canot stand Jose and have never liked him since he arrived at Chelsea. He just not likable in his football manager mode. Although I understand he is the nicest bloke you will ever come across away from football.

Having said that you cannot argue with the bloke he is a born winner and has won something at every club he has been at except with us... yeah maybe he would have won the cup last season but Levy knew had he won we may have had to keep him and it was already getting toxic....... and we know how that ends at every club hes been at except Porto I guess.

Whethere we like it or not he has something and delivers throphies regardless if we like his way or not.....

I remember the 1-1 draw with Wolves in his second season at Molineux, quite possibly the most wretched, dull, and uninspiring Spurs performance I have ever seen.

I can think of a few games this season under Conte which were much worse. Brighton at home - zero shots. Brentford away - zero shots. Burnley away - horrible.

Speaking of toxic - it doesn't always end well for Conte either. Obviously I hope he stays and we win things but he has his flaws.

Him and Jose very similar in terms of playing style and charisma. Conte does not publicly disown a player like Jose but he did say in an interview he prefers to kill them if they do not work hard lol.

Anyway I am glad and thankful we have another born winner with us. Winning is all that matters.

Yep agreed they have similar traits.... Although Conte is a likable bloke where Jose comes across as a khant imdeiatley..... infact as soon words come out his mouth you know hes a khant.

Did you think Jose was a khant in All or Nothing? I thought he was alright tbh.

The hatred for Jose as soon he has was hired was unreasonable.

Lets not forget Harry Kane had his best season to date in terms of numbers under Jose. Son flourished too.

Who did Jose slam at Spurs? Dele? Look at the state of him now. He needed it more than anyone. Still does.

I remember when people were throwing the whole Luke Shaw argument around. He did well last season too.

As for any Spurs fan disrespecting any trophy. Wow just wow. No shame at all.

Let's be clear here, it wasn't a hatred for Jose as soon as he joined. It was a hatred of Levy, certainly for me, regarding Poch's departure and the hiring of someone who I thought at the time was an enormous segway in terms of playing style / approach etc. I didn't hate Jose when he joined, I just didn't think he was right for us. There's a difference. I began to hate him as the free-flowing football we'd become accustomed to that had previously had us consistently finishing in the top four was now gone, as was our ability to finish in those places. We were worse on every single level. That's why I didn't like Jose. At first I was sceptical, then I became angry.

Can we put to bed this serial winner nonsense? He's won a lot, granted, but he's also won them at clubs expected to win trophies. Clubs that invested heavily. He's a good coach in the right environment. If the environment isn't there, if the money isn't there, he kicks his dummy out of the pram and sabotages in order to preserve his reputation - he absorbs praise when he wins, and passes the buck when he loses. He was the antithesis of everything I respected Poch for. THAT's why I didn't like the guy. We were on the slide, I get that, but he made things so much worse.

It would be interesting to find out what the general consensus is here. Would you prefer us to be in the position that Conte has got us in where we're finally back in he CL with all the trappings and players it brings, or celebrating winning the Conference League knowing all you've got at the end of it is a Europa League place?

I know which one I'd prefer. Progress over mediocre success.

It is a good question but I would really like a trophy. It would unite the club even more than qualifying for the CL has done. Yes progress is important but spending money at Spurs does not guarantee success.

Playing against the Elite is great too but we need a trophy to end the drought. Any Trophy.

We all want a trophy but not as part of a sacrifice of progress itself. Repeated top four finishes would give us the financial clout and lure to buy the better players. We just got our recruitment majorly wrong the last time that happened. For me a trophy is a nice to have but the crucial thing is qualifying for the CL each year too so that we're not cut adrift. The longer you're out of it, the harder it becomes. I think if we qualify for say the fifth/sixth round of the cup whilst rotating, then we should start taking it seriously and playing the big guns more. When it becomes more possible, we need to go for it. I get that but we can't take our eye off the ball with the league. That was part of the problem with Jose. He gave up on the league to focus on his own legacy of winning a trophy at every club he's been at. That's not good enough.

Cannot fathom why supporters of a club that have won just two trophies in 31 years can have a pop at a serial trophy winner like Mourinho. However divisive he may be perceived to be. He is the one thing seriously lacking at Sprus right now. HE WINS TROPHIES.

what trophies did he win at spurs again?
