Maybe their trophy cabinet could take in a couple of Ukrainian refugees. There's more than enough room!

Chelsea don't even own the land their ramshackle 1940s stadium sits on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sandy with respect mate you were watching football from behind stanchions on the Shelf as late as 2017 and you’re claiming that we’re living in a so called 1940s stadium. Sorry mate but that’s embarrassing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Five years is a long time in football Summer. I liked our old ground, when it actually had the shelf, pre 21st century. But the new ground is completely different gravy. And your stadium is like four or five leagues behind it mate, however your fans care to dress it up.

Very unlikely under the current financial climate any club will be able to build a comparable stadium for a very long time. Going forward the new Spurs stadium will be an absolute cash cow, and will give Spurs a considerable financial advantage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Seems like the same sound bites we heard for years from Arsenal fans over The Emirates!

so Chelsea new owners have promised 1bn investment in the new stadium.....but brummie thinks Spurs have gained no advantage from upgrading theirs to world class status. Spurs stadium will be the bench mark for every club looking to replace or upgrade because it is another level to anything else....and Arsenal's is not only 16 years old but it was not future proofed in any way.

Chelsea want a new stadium and they will be looking at ours to see how they can do it. United using the same architects to appraise theirs.
.
It will add 100-150 to our revenues . Game changer for us and it will see our revenues exceed Chelseas for 22/23

Sandy I respect the fact that you liked the old ground mate but it wasn't as good as the Bridge currently is in facilities or capacity and yet I saw Spurs fans for years trying to dress it up as being better. So the 1940's comparison you now make is clearly wrong.

However I do agree that your new ground is clearly better than ours is currently, although the area it is built in is clearly inferior to our manor, but then us Chelsea fans have always known that mate

So just like you were behind us from 2001 to 2019 and we are now behind you in that aspect (only) once our new owners develop our ground then we will all have to look at it again. I wouldn't go as far as saying that it will be better than yours is but it should be a lot closer in comparison than it is currently.

Fair enough Summer. A decent enough post. Although I still preferred WHL pre 21st century to Stamford Bridge for atmosphere.
