He didnt put the point across very well (it is owen after all) but I could see what he was trying to say.

The best 2 teams in europe in my opinion are city amd us. People can disagree with that if they choose thats just my opinion and has been for 2 or 3 years now. City are number 1 given they won the league and in the 2 matches against us this season they were the better side on both occassions so no arguments from me there.

I dont think madrid are better than us. The won the trophy so all credit to them for that but I still feel if we had played our best we wouldve won. We didnt and thats on us. City shouldve won the 1st leg at the etihad against them 8-2 and thats on them.

If thats disrespectful in others opinions fair enough, I dont really think theres too much disrespect in having an opinion that a certain team is better than another.

Yeah agree. It is a little short sighted to think that the champion is necessarily the best. Greece won the euros but they were not in any way the best team in Europe.

Real Madrid are a clutch team but 10 games in a row, we'd win 7 of them.

Owen is too dull and boring to be classed as eccentric. Just a clueless sp@nner that shouldn't be given air time. How can a guy be so unpopular for all of the clubs he ever played for?

Michael Owen has found a way somehow. More drivel, more banal delusional tripe that makes him look like the little cret1n he is.

Winning is winning you clown. Real have had the toughest run anyone could've faced and beat every team fair and square. Simple as that.

City are the favourites every season in Europe and bottle it. Liverpool have bottled it now.

Owen needs to go back to his stables and tend to his horses. Probably all tiny ones anyway.

Even accepting this, City would be ahead of Liverpool in this hypothetical best team argument.

Most of the time the best team wins, but not all the time.

The Liverpool board went mental when City lost to RM.

The title was apparently in the bag because City were 'serial bottlers' to quote one of their more frequent posters.

When Liverpool won two penalty shootouts no context mattered other than who ended up with the trophies but when Madrid and City win the CL and PL suddenly you have to consider the bigger picture and it’s not just about who got the trophies.

Liverpool are the 2nd best team in world football, second only to City. Not a fan at all of Owen but he has a point. Real wouldn't finish top 6 in England yet alone be better than Man C or Liverpool. They did beat both though

I'd fancy City's chances against RM any day of the week with a fully fit squad and an English referee.
