Yes, but players rarely step back unless they are almost past it or have a connection to the club.

Why would he leave one pl team to join a worse one? He will go abroad to another country for a different challenge.

I really like Mane as a player. His exit from Liverpool is a bit of a mess. Same with Salah and the will he won’t he contract. Can’t be great for team spirit.

Yeh, it is an odd one really. They have been run so well in the last few yeas that it is a bit of a shock that this is happening with 2 of their biggest players at the same time. But I guess it is hard if you don't want to break your wage structure and they won't sign new deals. Fair play to Liverpool for not crumbling and just offering them ridiculous deals.

Hmm, I don't think that Firmino is as important as he was before Jota arrived. He has been marginalised this season.

One of them has already been replaced with Dias. Jota already replaced Firmino who became backup. The other isn't leaving until the end of next season if at all and therefore we have three windows to replace. With Origi and Minamino going, we should look to bring in another. Personally it would be a starter for me, centrally, with Jota able to fill in centrally and left. We have worked it well so far but need to get one signing right this season and another next season if Salah confirms he's going. I'm confident we'll do that considering our track record in recent years.

He's been injured a lot. I'd love to see how he would work with Diaz.
