tbf City were trying to close the gap on us when we had Bent and Rebrov

Saw him in the flesh a couple of weeks ago.

He’s a top, top prospect, and at the going price I think would be a superb signing.

Fwiw, the press here are still saying United are favourites to sign him, but are weighing up other options, including Timber and Pau Torres.

Inácio is a class act though. Mint on the ball and suits a back three down to the ground.

Alot of agents will use Utd and Arsenal to link their clients with, in the hope of a club playing in the CL comes knocking.

That's how the food chain works.

Admittedly it’s not as ambitious as bringing in a mid level manager from the Dutch league and letting our best midfielder go for free. But we can’t all reach those same lofty heights.

I still remember the cheeky penalty he scored for Portugal against England ….not sure if it was World Cup or a Euro ….he was in such bad form for us and I was convinced he would miss but he not only scored he took the pee
