TLOU Remake

There cannot be too many people left who have not played this? It will quite rightly be remembered by many as one of their most memorable gaming experiences, and has been a huge hit for Sony.

But Sony has still not quite finished with the TLOU, having already seen it receive a remaster for the PS4, It has now had the full remake treatment for the PS5.

So if you have fond memories, and want to play the game at it's finest, TLOU remake is set for release 2nd September.

Have to agree with Simon on this. I have played TLOU at least 20 times. and it really is one of the best games I have played.

TLOU2, is even better, better graphics, gameplay, mechanics and yes the story. It tackles very strong and dangerous emotions head on.

Having said that, it wasn't the story I wanted, but it wasn't my story, it belongs to Joel and Ellie. and not everything in life comes wrapped in a pretty bow. If you can look past what you wanted it to be, and judge it simply as a continuation of Joel and Ellies story, then there is a lot to admire.

I have played through it numerous times now, and can appreciate the game for what it was. I always said the problem with the second game was, it came after the first. If there had been no TLOU, TLOU2 would have been much better received.

I do think Naughty Dog was too focused on telling a story, The mistake was forcing people to see the negative side of human nature, which many just won't enjoy, let alone want to play.

Blew it with the ending, murder hundreds of people, then quits at the end

I've still not played The Last of Us 2 yet lol. The first one was very good though. I've always prefered Uncharted though to be honest and considered that as the greatest Playstation game of all time but The Last of Us is still right up there don't get me wrong.

I think red dead 2 did that for me... normally I like to be a little different and not go for the AAA titles but hard to pick a fault in that game tbf.

I also loved ghost of tsushima ... wow ...just wow

Tbf the themes of TLOU 2 are interesting (from how far I got), but Joel goes mental at the end of the first one and it's rare we see a video game protagonist face consequences for that

Agree about RDR2 being amazing, another one that I had to come back to a second time to fully get into it but once I did it really blew me away. Only slight issue would be that at the tail end the missions just became a bit samey in how shooty they were, but I didn't mind it much between the story progressing. Also found it impossible to get good honour as I'd always accidentally pick a fight when trying to mount my horse or something

Yeh these are some really interesting points as good doesn't always mean fun and vice versa, and funny you should mention Tomb Raider Taki as I actually had more fun with the Tomb Raider reboot than I did TLoU when they both released in 2013 but fully recognise that TLoU overall is a better game.

And TBag I feel ya my man - so many times I have shot a poor fella when I was just trying to chat!

Tomb Raider was a lot of fun, I don't remember the story in any great detail but I remember the mechanics of the game being very fun to play

One game that needs and remaster and in my opinion is the greatest PS4 game ever is Bloodborne

One aspect of gameplay that immediately springs to mind with tlou2 is how slow it is and how they just pack out areas with lots of enemies. Tlou felt a lot more fluid and there was reasons for the progression.

Tlou 2 didn’t.
