I think this deal will influence the few remaining transfer deals we need to make this summer.
Reports that Xavi and Barca are desperate to sign Bernardo but probably need the de Jong cash as the Portuguese valuation is between 90 and 120 million. Knowing Barca they will try to low ball and put up 50 million in the 11th hour but needless to say I think the club will accept anything around the 65 million mark to let Bernardo go. Served us well and I don't begrudge him wanting to leave for family reasons.
I think Foden will move into the Bernardo role with Grealish pushing on from the left as an inside forward which is why the club want to sign Cucurella who would then stretch teams on the left flank and then you have Haaland and 14 million Álvarez with Sterling and Mahrez from right.
Its a world cup year so depth is important but one forward has to go and it will be Gabby Jesus who I will be sad to see go but I think we may have to keep Sterling to get the best out of our new forwards and Sterling himself.
The Bernardo and Gabby cash will be welcome to sign a left back to replace Mendy and a DM to replace Fernandinho.
Probably the most exciting summer in a while as we will almost set-up and play slightly different next season. With the right signings our squad will look so much balanced than it did last season and all we have done is make replacements in the right positions.
Hope the Frenkie de Jong deal goes Through

De Jong isn’t good enough trust me. He doesn’t impact results and hides on the pitch.

hes a decent little player but not manes level, id be interested seeing how he does if hes in a team where hes the star man. like he'd be at arsenal.

Keeping Bernardo should be a priority, he scored the goal of the season at Villa and does so much to make the team tick. Brilliant player.

But with haaland and Alvarez coming in maybe Peps about to change his style slightly?
I mean klopp is going for a lukaku esque striker which is quite the change from two diminutive wide players and a CF who does everything but score.

We dont want him to go. Its more like he has told the club 3 years ago that his partner is struggling with life in Manchester and they would prefer to have a family in Spain.
The right deal comes and he is off in my opinion
