Ruud Van Nilsterooy

I was just watching some highlights of the great Dutchman during his years at United.

Fair to say he is the greatest finisher we've ever had at the club? Just in terms of pure natural goal scoring talent.

And a lot his goals seemed pretty effortless and just simply natural.

I know Wayne Rooney is the all-time record holder at United and was the overall better footballer but there's no doubt RVN was the better finisher.

What a dream it was to watch Van Nilsterooy , Rooney and Ronaldo together in the mid 2000s tearing apart the PL every week. Ahh yes ... Those were the days indeed

It would have been great if Ten Hag brought Ruud with him to be in his staff.
Imagine Rashford and Elanga working everyday with this guy in training.

Van Nistelrooy was a brilliant player. He was unlucky in that he fell between our great 99 and 08 teams. We were rebuilding and Arsenal and Chelsea both had very good sides. That's why he 'only' won a PL and FA Cup and no CL.
