Latest news on the street is that Forest are in negotiation to bring Uniteds G/K Dean Henderson in on loan, with an option to buy. This is probably linked to the Athletic article regarding Brice Samba wanting out. He apparently is wanted by Lens.
So it looks as if the stories regarding Samba wanting to leave are correct.
I've never given this any thought before, because promotion has always been a pipe dream that disappeared around Christmas or just afterward, but there isn't a lot of time to build a squad with the new season starting August 6th!
Forest are also supposedly interested in Moussa Niakhate from Mainz, a left footed central defender. He has a year left on his contract, is the right age at 26 and has spent 4 seasons in the Bundesliga, making 128 appearances.
He might be considered as a replacement for Fig's or perhaps the club are considering offers for Joe Worrall?
The silence regarding the other departed loanee's may be nothing to worry about just yet.
I believe Prem' rules limit clubs to only 2 loan players anyway and that might well be Henderson & Jimmy Garner.
I would take a guess that Keinan Davis might well be the most straight forward signing if Forest fancy him for the next season?

I think Henderson is a great deal. We wouldn’t have been able to sign anyone better with premiership experience, who also helped keep Man U & S Utd up. I’m not sure Pope would have chosen us over the richest club in the world either.

It would have been to see Awoniyi with the new sessions shirt, but guess what, its not been sorted yet, like the ticketing side of things, leaves a lot to be desired.

Fortunately we don't K.O until August 6th so time yet, but not a lot of time to train with new team mates. Only allowing two loans is the biggest stumbling block.

Nixon at the S*n is saying we after Lewis O’Brien for 10M (realise clause) apparently he is good mates with Toffolo who is also signing for 2.5m. 12.5 for the pair feels great business if we can make it happen
