Can't agree, I watched some of their horror movies like Hereditary, Midsommer, Lighthouse, its comes at night and the Witch. All of them are borefests.

Pretentious nonsense that people watch and then tell others they are not smart enough to get it. Nah, they're just terrible.

I can maybe understand why you think that about the lighthouse, which was quite out there... But the other 3 have pretty simple narratives to follow.

If you don't like them, fine... but don't berate others for finding the meanings in them, as they were all written with allegory and underlying themes in mind.

It's definitely subjective. Some people like different things in their films.

There wasn't a single character in Midsommar I cared a jot about. It was all a bit too weird and up its own backside if you ask me. Gave me Wickerman vibes which I also didn't like.

Hereditary was made by the same director but I thought was the much stronger film with far better story telling and character development. You really could feel the pain and torment that family were experiencing. It was haunting on a whole other level. Probably the best original horror film I have seen in years.

The original Wicker Man was a classic and I don't particularly like horror.

The Nic Cage Wicker Man was moore better than original

X was a pile of sh-t. Kept waiting for something interesting to happen but it ended up just being a poor rehash of old 70s exploitation horror, completely pointless.
