Gabriel Jesus - Underwhelming

Decent striker to have as a back up/squad player but I'm not convinced he's the striker we can rely upon to bang I'm 30+ goals.

We really need a world class striker if we want to jump to that next level and start competing with the top 2.

I've liked what Arteta has done with bringing in quality youth but we can't be adding Β£35/40m 'good' players around them.
We really need to throw in a couple of world class players that would cost Β£60m+

Same goes with Tielemans, Enough with these signing $25-45m signings. We done last summer, time to add real quality this summer.. much like Goretzka, Veratti, Gnarby, Casemiro

Don’t think Arsenal are in a position to be turning up their noses at a player of Jesus’ quality tbh. He would improve you no doubt.

I think he’s a good player who will do well with regular games. He didn’t stand a chance at City with how Pep sets up.

Agreed, I think being the main man somewhere we will see his best. I’d happily see us him in a red shirt but we know that would never be allowed to happen.

Of course Nunez could fail. At his price there aren't any guarantees at all. He cost ndombele money.

If he does do well then Liverpool will pay 10-20m more but if he hits that sum, it's cos they've won things and he would deserve the fee.

Blessing for Liverpool is they are dependent on Nunez succeeding. They have so many attacking options, and some outstanding talents coming through, they will give minutes.

Idea Liverpool fans would've mocked united fans if they'd signed him is a bitest silly. He wanted CL football. United are struggling to sign anyone at πŸ˜‚

Good point about ndombele….all fans are guilty of thinking when a vast sum is paid it guarantees success

I’m guilty ….thought he would be a superstar

It doesn’t work Like that though …. All leagues are different and there are obstacles as fans we don’t think would be obstacles ….simple things like a change in weather and food

I will stand by the fact though if United paid this money for nunez some of the Liverpool fans would be wumming and saying otherwise is denial ….it’s such a big sum for a fairly unproven player but I will agree that Liverpool scouting seems to be nailed on so I think that does speak volumes in the blokes favour

Agree, I think he’s a great player and given more chances and having the team more around him unlike at city and he could get to 20 goals

decent player 20-30m would be pretty good value 30-40m fair . 60m would be rip off territory.

What about 50m?

Says it all we’ve played without a striker most games 😬

Nah I’d be sad to see him go. Great work rate and shows up in big games. Does take him about 7 chances to score though. Maybe benefit from a more consistent run in a team, but did have chances at City and you won’t really get much better service elsewhere.

0 out of 10 for this window so far. 2 unknown players only.Jesus would change that. Spurs are now interested and I would not be surprised if he ended up there

If he wants to go and he likes Arteta you could do a lot worse, £50m for a PL proven forward is good value, he would cost Spurs £100m as City would add a Levy levy, plus nobody wants to deal with Levy in any case.

Thats not really true about the add ons though, Benfica have reported that majority of the 25 mill add ons are based on playing a very achievable amount of games. Only about 5 mill of it are based on actual success. So you could end up paying close too 20 mill more and he not of won any trophies.

It's after 10 games 4.3m then 8.6m after 60 games. Then the remaining 8.6m is for performance and team based objectives. This is in £ when I think confusion is from people quoting €
