Seen a couple of City journalists who reckon that the young lad is a top talent destined for regular PL football. I trust that if we have targeted him then we have done our research. Orta tends to get his youth recruitment down.

That's good to hear. I do feel that Orta is approaching this summer differently. As if he has learned lessons.

Orta sure as hell needs to learn some lessons - I’d say his success rate is about 30%, which is pretty p!ss poor. In most other clubs the guy would be out of a job, but when you have mates in high places…

One example. I would raise you Struijk, Gelhardt, Meslier, Bate, Greenwood, and Hjelde, that's not even starting on the progression of our youth squads in the time he's been here.

Firstly I'm delighted for Kalvin, he's earned this move and as much as loves Leeds let's face it's it's all about winning trophies and getting as much money for yourself

The only thing annoying me is the fee, I really thought we would get closer to 60m considering he is English and prices for English players are always over inflated.

Our Phillips replacement is also likely to come from abroad and to the vast majority of the fan base will probably be unknown so typically Twitter etc will be full of moaning cnuts

I hope Phillips has called Bielsa to personally thank him as without Bielsa it's highly unlikely he gets this move

I think we have quite a successful youth setup to be honest. How many other PL teams have had as many players come through as ours?

I'm not a huge Orta fan but can recognise thats been his best achievement.

On KP I do think Leeds were quite happy to see him leave in a way and maybe that affected the price.

Phillips's transfer for 45 mill is a good deal both for him and for us, in my view. Thanks, Kalvin, and all the best of luck for the future (except when you're playing against us.)
