That time of year again

Yes. It's that time of year again where I annoy a lot of posters on here when I suggest players from the Cymru national team for United.

After being proven right with Dan James (we lost much fewer games with him in the side and made a profit when we sold him) here's my next batch to improve the squad.

Wayne Hennessey - if we're looking for an experienced back up keeper he'd fit the bill. He's done it for Burnley after all! However, with Pope going to Newcastle, he may wish to establish himself as Turf Moor No1.

Neco Williams - being realistic he's never getting in before TAA and Robertson at Liverpool but he would certainly offer us more in terms of an attacking threat from Right Back than what we have. I think he's too good to be sub most games. Obvious stumbling block is LFC would be highly unlikely sell to us.

Ethan Ampadu - I really like him as a player. He's got loads of caps already and we always look better with him in the side. Can play CB and DM. He's also got a bit of an edge which we lack at times.

Joe Allen - tidy player at the base of the midfield and reads the game well. He'd be a much more composed option than what's currently available.

Brennan Johnson - I think he's the real deal. Pace and knows where the goal is. He'd probably benefit from a full season in the PL first with Forest but I don't think he'd look out of place at United.

Feel free to shoot me down in the comments!

Ah it was a light throwaway comment Diafol, happy to see you guys are so passionate about your lads.

Apologies. I probably should have guessed it was!

What we love about them is the spirit. Like a club side really and they actually carry out the game plan pretty well usually. We've competed well in Group A of the Nations League I think and it's been a great learning experience. We may well go down (although beating Poland at home would probably see us stay up) but it's not been a disgrace at all.

Perhaps tonight I’ll do an Australian version (Aaron De Mooyne is one for sure)

The "shoot me down" comments should be about how you just assume that all these players, and all their respective club managers and Chairmen, are all just sitting there waiting for Utd to take them away.

When will the average Utd fan start realising that the days of Utd just snapping their fingers and everyone comes running are long gone.

I don't think my list smacks of arrogance at all. It's not an unrealistic list it is. I've hardly listed players like Salah, KDB, Kante, Saka for goodness sakes!

Tbh your comment implies that no player will ever sign from United from any club. Which is just plain stupid, you obsessed spudling.

Meanwhile on the Tottenham board, they're discussing the potential to get Joao Felix on a swap deal from Atletico 🤣. The lack of self awareness is strong in this one

Not that he was on the list, but we can scratch Gareth Bale from it. Signed for LAFC in the MLS...
