Priority surely has to be another CB and another creative midfielder. RWB I would have thought is a long way down the list of priorities.

Not for me. We kept clean sheets but struggled to breakdown stubborn defences because Conte didn't have wingbacks for his system.

Kulu has more or less solved the problem on the right side of the pitch.

He is not a wingback agreed, but he plays wide right, which is exactly the same as a wingback. So why would you need a wingback cramping his style. Emerson and Kulu are fine on the right hand side. You also have Doherty, and possibly the fellow from Boro as backups. Certainly not a side of the pitch that is that weak.

Spence is one we should be signing. Like others have said, Doherty was playing well before his injury. I would loan Emerson out in case we revert to a back 4 in the future and could offer different capabilities to Spence long term.

Based on what info? I'm not so sure Conte sees Spence as first choice for the first team.

Based on my eyes. The kid has talent albeit very raw. But he has all the attributes we are looking for in an explosive RWB.

Maybe but I think needs at least 2 seasons to reach the level Conte wants and Conte might not be around then so let's give Conte a ready made solution.

RWB and LCB are clearly priority for the club, wanting to get best quality available in each position.

Spence as he played in the championship is being snubbed by some but he had a great season, the step up can go one of two ways but we've seen it with many club bringing players from the championship working has transformed them.

Conte wanted Spence i thought but we have about 10 players for each position with the Don at work. As boring as it is we have to be mind full of having homegrown players too should Tanganga and Winks leave, and also not having excessive foreign players should we not sell some you may be expecting to.

Yeah I'm just trying remember the quality players that have moved up from the championship and taken well to the PL

Full backs I can think of are Walker & Andy Robertson, and if Spence turns out like eith of them two then we'll be buzzing

For me Im happy with Doherty & Spence.

The former really started to look very good before getting injured, and his injury coincided with us suddenly failing create chances for a few game. Emerson came in and to be fair to him started to look the part and we got our attacking mojo back.

Spence looks to have a lot of really great attributes, some excellent raw materials to work with, and id be happy for him to learn his trade as back up.

I thought Doherty was in fantastic form prior to his injury and was starting to build good numbers in terms of goal contributions. Would be happy of course to buy someone to upgrade / compete
